 Tbilisi, Georgia - During September 15-23, by invitation of Women in Film & Television - Caucasus and Natura Film, a world renown American film and television producer from Hollywood - Gale Anne Hurd will be visiting Georgia. Hurd is one of the influential producers in Hollywood. Her filmography consists of films and TV Series such as: The Terminator (1, 2, 3), The Abyss, The Punisher, Aliens, The Walking Dead.
Gale Anne's visit in Georgia is introductory to the country and its culture. In parallel to enjoying visiting different beautiful regions of the country, she will be meeting with the local filmmakers, and will get to know the local film industry. Gale Anne Hurd is an honorary member and a huge supporter of international organization - Women in Film & Television (WIFT). A local branch of this organization was established in the Caucasus region this year, with the majority of the members being from Georgia. The president of WIFT Caucasus is Georgian director - Nana Ekvtimishvili. Predecessor organization of WIFT, WIF network (Women in Film LA) was founded in Los Angeles, CA back in 1973 as a reaction to male dominance in the film industry.
